Achievements & Progress

Unlocking badges, tracking your level, and understanding progress statistics.

Achievements are badges you earn by reaching milestones on Console Notebook — visiting consoles, making friends, adding favourites, logging owned hardware, and staying active over time. They are displayed on your Statistics page and on your public profile, and they contribute directly to your level score.
💡 Achievements are calculated automatically from your activity. There is nothing to manually claim — they unlock the moment you hit the required threshold.
There are 13 achievements in total, split across five categories:

Explorer
  1. Console Scout — visit your first console page.
  2. Retro Master — visit 20 or more console pages.
  3. Archive Hunter — visit 40 or more console pages.
Social
  1. First Friend — add your first friend.
  2. Social Butterfly — reach 5 friends.
  3. Popular — reach 10 friends.
Collector
  1. First Favourite — add your first favourite console.
  2. Collector Heart — reach 5 favourite consoles.
  3. First Owned — log your first owned console.
  4. Collector — log 5 owned consoles.
Veteran
  1. Week Veteran — account is at least 7 days old.
  2. Month Veteran — account is at least 30 days old.
  3. Year Veteran — account is at least 365 days old.
Achievements unlock automatically when you meet the condition. Here is a quick reference:
  1. Visit console pages from the Consoles section to unlock Explorer badges.
  2. Send and accept friend requests via Community → Friends to unlock Social badges.
  3. Use the heart icon on any console page to add favourites (Collector Heart).
  4. Log hardware you own via Home → My Collection (Owned badges).
  5. Simply stay active — Veteran badges unlock based on how many days your account has been open.
💡 You do not need to log in on every day — the Veteran badges are based on your account creation date, not your activity streak.
Your achievements are visible in two places:
  1. Home → Achievements panel — shows all 13 badges as a grid. Unlocked badges are highlighted; locked ones are greyed out.
  2. Statistics page — shows the same achievement grid along with your full progress stats and your current level.
Your achievements are also visible to other users on your public profile (unless hidden via privacy settings).
Your level is calculated from a score that combines two factors:
  1. 60% — percentage of the 13 achievements you have unlocked.
  2. 40% — percentage of the 52 consoles you have visited.
The combined score maps to one of five levels:
  1. Novice — 0 – 34%
  2. Intermediate — 35 – 54%
  3. Advanced — 55 – 74%
  4. Expert — 75 – 89%
  5. Legend — 90 – 100%
Your current level is displayed on your Statistics page and on your public profile card.
The Statistics page (accessible from your home dashboard sidebar) gives you a complete snapshot of your activity on the platform:
  1. Level — your current rank (Novice through Legend) with the score percentage.
  2. Achievements — how many of the 13 badges you have unlocked.
  3. Consoles visited — how many of the 52 encyclopedia pages you have opened while logged in.
  4. Favourite consoles — total count of hearted consoles.
  5. Owned consoles — total count of hardware in your collection.
  6. Friends — total number of accepted friend connections.
  7. Days as member — number of days since your account was created.
